I first learned about Amfasoft
through the State of California’s WIA (“Workforce
Investment Act”) program, shortly after getting laid
off from my job as a product manager at Finaline, a failed
internet software startup company. Rosalie Gonzalez, my counselor
at WIA, suggested to me that I take Oracle DBA and applications
courses from a “little outfit that does an excellent
job in San Jose.”
I took my first Oracle Financials class with Ali Amhed, who
is a President and founder of Amfasoft. After the initial 14
week Oracle Financials class, I took a 10 weeks long Oracle
beginning DBA and Oracle advanced DBA course with Venky.
Both of these classes were very professionally run, informative,
and instrumental in providing me with the information I would
need to pass the Oracle Certified Professional exams and secure
a position as an Oracle consultant with companies implementing
Oracle Applications.
Because of the training I received at Amfasoft, I was contracted
by General Electric Aircraft Engines to work with CIAT, the
GE engineering affiliate located in Queretaro, Mexico, to
automate their intercompany eliminations and consolidation
process and help GE Aircraft analyze the international issues
surrounding their migration to a single, global instance of
Oracle Applications. Amfasoft training also helped me in my
next assignment with Leroy Merlin, a French distributor of
household self-help, construction items in my next assignment
in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Because of Amfasoft’s big picture
approach to Oracle applications business processes, I was
able to step back from the immediate concerns of automating
the Leroy Merlin’s Brazilian payments process and ask
the fundamental question, “How does this process work?”
Again, Amfasoft training was instrumental in helping me secure
my next project with Cisco Systems.
I continue to take classes with Amfasoft, knowing that the
training experience and the quality of the teaching I receive
at Amfasoft are second to none. My experience at Amfasoft
has been extremely rewarding for me both from a personal and
a professional perspective.
